Cardio Coaching I

Our cardio coaching I program is a sixteen week walking challenge targeting all able bodied individuals. It is an exercise program used for aerobic fitness maintenance and improvement. The goal of the program is to simply improve the participant's overall physical fitness by "simply walking." The program takes into account your current fitness level and how many times per week you want to exercise.

Here are some simple reasons why our walking program works. 

1. It is easy

The foundation of our program is set on you reaching your daily exercise and energy expenditure goals. Just refer to your heart rate monitor throughout the day to see if you are on track. If you're not on track then you need to get moving. This is where the accountability factor comes in. It is your responsibility to meet your daily exercise and energy expenditure goals.

2. Fitness activity monitors  

ShapeClub relies on the use of Freestyle Ergo Touch Pedometer and the Polar Heart Rate monitor for the success of it's cardio coaching program. 

The Polar Heart Rate Monitor measures your heart rate, tracks your caloric expenditure, measures your current fitness level and provides a complete guidance and feedback on your progress. 

The Freestyle Ergo Touch Pedometer accurately tracks distance in mile, calculates total distance traveled and measures time and calories burned. The pulse meter also displays heart rate and pacer mode.

3. Download and documentation

The Polar "Keeps U Fit" program enables you to keep an accurate record of your fitness activities each day/week. The F11 heart rate monitor completely tracks your activity to help you successfully chart your progress.

4. Weekly clinics, assessments and motivation

Motivation is the key! Once a week you will meet with your fitness coach for re-assessments and downloading of your weekly activities. This will give you the opportunity to see where you can make improvements in a number of areas.

5. You are not alone

Your fitness coach will be with you every step of the way through continuous follow ups. Being accountable to someone other than yourself will greatly increase the probability of success.
