GRUNT! Bootcamp

Grunt! Bootcamp

What is Grunt! Bootcamp?

Grunt! Bootcamp provides a military style fitness strategy to individuals seeking to improve their fitness level. This strategy is a six week effort, combining both strength training and cardiovascular activities designed to facilitate rapid fitness improvement.

The six week training strategy is as follows:

Week 1 - Initiation: An acclimation period of low intensity exercises including basic strengthand flexibility training, cardio training, warm ups, cool downs and stretching activities.  Week one will end in a PFT assessment (1.5 mile run, 1 minute sit up & push up tests).

Week 2 - Transformation: In week 2 you will be encouraged to increase your activity level by 10% - 20%.

Week 3 - Move it!: This week is characterized by more full body workouts. Grass drills, strength training and cardiovascular training are used to help you improve by another 10% - 20%.

Week 4 - Let's Rock!!: All exercises will be of a higher intensity than the previous week. All recruits will participate in the GRUNT! Olympics.

Week 5 - Extreme: Designed to prepare you for the ultimate experience in GRUNT! Bootcamp fitness training. At the end of week five you will be mentally and physically able to do well on the fitness test.

Week 6 - Gut Check: Characterized by the completion of a Physical Fitness Test (PFT). The fitness test consists of three events, designed so that each is a testament of the person's improvement. It is a great morale builder. Recruits will see they can complete the test with ease after a little "encouragement" from their teammates.

Physical Fitness Test (PFT)

The Physical Fitness Test (PFT) is a test of strength and endurance. It is used as a measuring tool for one's overall fitness improvement. Components of the PFT include 1 minute sit ups, 1 minute push ups and a 2 mile run. Each participant must complete the PFT at the end of their six week GRUNT! Bootcamp training.
